    And explain why

    For example:
2016 Chance - Released Coloring Book, had several features on TLoP, No Problem was all over the Radio. Overall a breakout year for him.
2019 DaBaby - BOP, Babysitter, Kirk and Suge were all huge songs and he’s become the de facto image of popular s***ty Spotify hip hop playlists.

    blah

    why tyler for 2019?

IGOR easily the most talked about rap album of that year in both rap and the mainstream

also the level of mainstream recognition he achieved that year compared to prior years puts him way up there

higher than 6ix9ine, JPEGMAFIA, Freddie Gibbs, Chance, or any of his constituents

the only other artist i could think of is Lil Nas X

  • Aug 7, 2020

2010: Katy Perry with Teenage Dream

DaBaby and Meg literally dominated 2019, Tyler definitely had the best album of the year but I wouldn’t say he represented the sound and feel of the year for rap
