social democracy is not good enough because it does not end imperialism, and it just exports the worst portions of capitalism to other places. Additionally, as long as workers are exploited in any capacity, the people doing the exploiting will hold the most power in society and the benefits of living in a social democracy will slowly erode.

but why are u so against socialism?

didn't really say anything about that. i just said I'd rather live in a capitalist country, because it serves ME (and my family) better. whether other people suffer is not my concern. socialism would probably come with a lifestyle change for me.

not trying to troll here, im really being honest. i have a hard time feeling any kind of sympathy towards people, their suffering, living conditions etc. unless i know what it feels like.

if i did have that capacity i probably would've championed for something that's beneficial for the whole population.

No societal ideology guarantees a good life for everyone, with Capitalism it depends how you navigate in terms of gaining success, how you will thrive in society and what chances your willing to take when given the opportunity

    Can't say same for socialism

    "gaining success"

capitalism is a modernization of feudalism and mercantilism

nobles and slave traders built capitalist monopolies, wtf are u talking about?

both our definitions of success could differ but capitalism only rewards those who have access to wealth or those select few who were born into wealth

The 1% will always intermarry and trade weath each other, that's not secret.

But as from the common person, their has been people poor asf who made it, so it's not like the common people don't have a chance at all.

I'm just saying as exploitive Capitalism, it proved to more successful imo.

Dictators have built communistic countries with socialistic ideas

    What's your point?

That bad rich elites built something that they have control of, yeah no s***

I'm just saying in a capitalistic society, there are more opportunities than a socialistic one.

Democratic socialism with a strong social safety net and low barrier to entry for starting businesses is the answer imo.

both socialism and capitalism are overly vague terms largely without definition and not used within a serious sense in actual economics

now that the nerd s*** is out of the way, democratic inclusive institutions featuring privatization and strong social safety nets have been proven to be the most effective and efficient systems we currently have.

tankies will call this capitalist slavery tho

You point to the various Latin American countries and how they’ve been ruined by US greed and imperialism and all of a sudden they don’t wanna know

Every time socialism/communism fails it’s always the fault of something else

    Hierarchies are human nature

Better to have a system that utilises that instead of trying to engineer against it
