I'm well aware some people say the Kelela-assisted version is weaker than the initial version featuring Destroy Lonely, but tbh, I have to disagree with them here.

The updated production, as well as Kelela's impeccable guest appearance—especially on physical versions of the album—do elevate the song (in my opinion at least).

I wasn’t aware that the lone version was the orginal, i did a ktt search and seen the leak being talked about here tho. Intriguing; I agree with you, Kelalas verse elevated Pinks and a lone Feat seems more like a marketing decision than an artistic decision.

The physical version of the album contains not one but two Kelela verses, by the way. ❤️
