It’s just crazy how positive and receptive everyone was being towards Kanye after the first two listening parties, but then everyone wants to flip the script and pretend that everything we’ve seen and heard in the last month has been garbage because they saw DaBaby and Manson in Chicago
Like it’s actually mind boggling
and this is why, despite all the hate he gets, I still like Fantano. At a minimum, while he talks about controversy and outside album stuff, he usually just reviews and gives his honest opinion on the music
Why tryna dox him or some sht, its just a score
Yall used to brag about P4K 10 and Yeezus 9.5, wheres the 6 love?
How did he dox him?
Ok Mr. anything-I-disagree-with-is bad-critique. Learn to be a bit more stoic and acknowledge the points being made in the review.
But thats exactly what theyre doing lol. Theyre addressing the points PF made: like the 4 paragraph explanation of rape man bad, homophobia man bad
Why tryna dox him or some sht, its just a score

Do you know what doxing is lol
He’s a public journalist. This is his Twitter.
Enough said. They should delete their f***ing website
If the big day is a 6.9/10, DONDA is a 200/10
Aye I don’t care about pitchfork at all but the reviewer actually a cool nigga. Shoutout bruh

Ikr music outlets were actually praising Kanye’s stunts in the beginning
@op
she probably asked everyone in p4k office who hates kanye the most
this editor in chief of p4k
Holy s***
Big L for Pitchfork.
"Thousands of people in-person and millions more online watched as songs about God, family, divorce, and “throat coat for the throat GOATs” blasted through speakers while a masked Kanye did push-ups and frolicked with the DaBaby, who recently spouted homophobic remarks, and Marilyn Manson, who is currently facing multiple lawsuits for sexual assault. Each session felt like market-testing disguised as performance art, and was somehow worse than both 2016’s Life of Pablo event at Madison Square Garden and his infamous Jackson Hole gathering for ye."
This loser thinks Kanye setting himself on fire and also ascending to Heaven was worse than this:
“somehow worse than Pablo event” literally a beloved and legendary moment in hip hop that people cherish wtf is wrong with this critic
So Pitchfork says it‘s as good as trap classic Rodeo https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/21016-rodeo/
Peppa Pig's album harder than both
“Why the hell you hatin so damn hard?
Someone must pay you”
Yeah pitchfork pays this bozo
The fact is you aren’t realizing someone who hates Kanye is looking for a low score and if they see it they read it to justify their hate if it wasn’t a low score they say “ y’all do anything for this nigga” it’s confirmation bias on both sides yall do it too
The score is what staff writers gave ÷ the number of said writers

Lol ain’t no writer gonna be in that room like “ imma give it a 10” because they will feel judged

Its not a 10, a fan would rate at 9, if we are being technically critical it drops to 8, if youre a hater it goes down to 7-6.

I know it’s not a 10 my point is due to controversy that system doesn’t work well
Does a concept mean the album is better though?
Concept gives a reason for songs to be on the album even if they are not mastepieces. Conceptual album you should listen from beginning to the end to taste the whole palette, but if album doesn't have a concept then nothing changes of you stop on a third track etc.
I feel like when Kanye took those Donda moments off the album it lost some score from me as it lost some of its' character.
Also nowadays most of the rappers that people are talking about don't just dump a new portion of songs, as it seems like a bad taste, instead they try to link it to some theme, or to tell some story. Drake even distinguished More Life when he called it a playlist, so people won't consider it a part of his album run.
Even Damon Albarn from Gorillaz aknowledge it in some interview saying that Humanz is a playlist of songs which they created having fun in studio and not some connected together piece of work.

Due to the multifaceted aspect of artists seem as authers, they'll review their actions packed together, their critic darlings are indie acts who kiss their ass

It's not how it works
Chance is the Rapper and from Kanye people literally expect to change their whole perception of rap with every release.
