Oh word? how does it work then, exactly
It’s a collection vote by all the ppl on staff and they just average it out and give it a pretty number then choose the reviewer
Did Drake pay you?
K-Thots so delusional, they think anyone not riding Kendrick's d*** is on Drake's payroll
Oh and btw, Alphonso has spent a lot more time s***ting on Drake and everything he does than he's ever done s***ting on Kendrick.
Written by the same guy who said euphoria was trash and Kendrick was in last place in the beef lmfaooo
Good context

Here is Alphonse putting Kendrick Lamar in last in the beef and Drake in the top saying Drake the goat
Kendrick stans didn't hate Pitchfork when they were giving every album a 9-9.5 though

“ I just wish Kendrick were funny or petty enough to hold his weight in these kinds of battles. Drake is over there on “Push Ups” calling him “pipsqueak,” but I can’t imagine Kendrick ever stooping down to that level.”
the war may not be over, but remember to stream GNX on all platforms

Cope and cry. It's so funny how anytime there is anything "negative" about Kendrick there are 10000 different excuses and reasons why he isn't the perfect messiah you guys act like he is

Imagine suggesting someone deface your mural for social media clout and then crying about it on track 1 of your new album and suggesting that would make someone else run to Europe? Projection much? More like you wanted to run to Europe after seeing that
Also, this album confirms that Kendrick is chronically online like everyone else. All that mystery and myth-building s*** is a lie.
Look, I get it. Not everyone is going to agree with my take, and that’s part of the job. When I review an album, I’m not writing to confirm your bias or cater to fandoms—I’m giving you my honest perspective, backed by years of listening to and studying music. That’s the gig.
Kendrick is undeniably one of the most important artists of our time, but not everything he drops is above critique. GNX is ambitious, no doubt, but ambition doesn’t automatically equal greatness. My review wasn’t about tearing him down; it was about engaging with the music critically. If that didn’t line up with your feelings about the album, cool—we’re allowed to disagree.
But let’s be real: the energy some of y’all bring to these threads makes it clear you don’t want reviews; you want validation. That’s not what I’m here for. Let the music speak for itself, and if you think I’m off the mark, fine—but at least try to engage with the points instead of coming with pitchforks. Respectfully.
So essentially what you said is you don't think it was inspired and believe it was made to spite drake. Then it should be deeper as he's the apparent saviour even though you support the idea of airing out petty grievances.
Not seeing where in this review you critically review the body of work or how the above is suppose to make it a near average album, can you help me understand this score? Even if the above is true what part of that makes it bad?
To add attacking people who don't like the review and pretending they aren't capable of engaging is very ironic and pretentious. People don't want validation but consistency, Play Cash Cobain a 7.7 and In Sexxy We Trust a 7.5 for example is almost laughable in comparison for someone who studies music.
The review says “reincarnated is unlistenable”

Did you ever think that maybe Drake pays him to s*** on him so that people won’t notice ?
“The question is, how much do you enjoy watching him take lap after lap”
This is him crying for drake
I like that somebody acknowledged that there is something interesting, exciting even, about Mr Morale being this sort of somber, introspective album which rejects the idea of the hip hop saviour outright I don't think it's the most 'fun' album to spin back but I respect the hell out of it

Yes, when that article dropped, before he even dropped Euphoria, it was a general consensus that he was not funny or willing to make jokes like that in a rap battle song.

Honestly never mind getting a 6.6 makes him a stan essentially
2-3 good songs
I'd have given the album a 7 but I'm not mad at this score. It's definitely interesting seeing Kendrick fans be so bothered whenever he does anything and it isn't immediately followed by worldwide praise and adulation. Just goes to show how little criticism he's ever had to deal with.
That's why track 1, Kendrick was crying about Snoop Dogg and Wayne not kissing his ass. He legit thinks those are valid things to be that upset about lol.
I mean I think it’s a valid to be a bit upset that snoop would back a track that has a Tupac AI being used to mock a west coast artist
