What makes the pro better than the regular pixel? I'm trying to figure that out before I buy, either 8 or 9
I actually kinda want the XL cuz it's bigger.
The pro has 4 more GB of RAM, that's the only known upgrade rn.
I'm guessing it will have a few more features that the normal version lacks.
Historically, the pro version was bigger and had better features, but it looks like with this one they're just holding back for the sake of being able to sell more "premium" models.
Kinda lame they made the biggest one the most expensive one. What happened to just 2 models? Why they gotta introduce a 3rd one lol.

Yeah plus there's a fold now I think too. Do they even still do 'a' models?
What is the extra 4g ram going to do for the phone to make it better?

More apps can stay open without it being slow.
But I think the official specs will come out today or whenever it gets released, because those are only ones known so far.

Weird, my 6 has never been slow and I don't even exit out of apps

It goes a lil further, it keeps it in memory so you can go back to the app and don't need to refresh anything.
And Yeah, no modern phone is ever gonna feel slow unless you got one of them Temu Androids.
Pixels always have some issues after they are released...they always get close then mess something up
Happy with my s24 ultra but the Pixel Fold has caught my attention...used to have a galaxy z fold 2 in the past but it was too bulky and the hinge wasn't great

Guess I should just get the regular 9, I don't think I'd even notice that change lol
Unless anyone knows if a 9a is coming, would prefer a smaller phone again I think

The thing about all folds is the s*** battery afaik
Idk about the long way folding ones I guess but my buddy has a less than 2 year old samsung and it dies in under 3 hours lol

Does he have the flip? Yeah that one is terrible
That is true tho....will wait for reviews
I usually have a bunch of settings set up on my phone to reduce battery wastage and it really helps

Yup that's it. Idk how he lives with the crease
He literally only gives a s*** about hanging up on people by closing it lmao no other thing about phones matters to him

that’s exactly the situation i’m in that s24 ultra looks so amazing but i have so many reasons to keep an iphone it’s hard to switch

S24 Ultra looks insane from the Mkbhd review I saw of it but also it’s gigantic. I’m not a fan of how big my iPhone pro 13 is I can’t imagine going bigger

losing facetime sucks though

Meanwhile I'm about to hop to the 16 Pro Max as my first ever iPhone
Was gonna buy the pixel 9 next week but after viewing the reddit seems like people been having issues with stuttering and delayed notifications
I really need a new phone also heard the camera overrated as well should I just switch to iOS
I got the watch the other day not even knowing it's brand new lol. Been waiting to gift myself a new one to replace a 5 year old Garmin vivoactive
Crazy good watch, these things have advanced a ton the past half decade. I got the large size and wouldn't want it to be any smaller
Feels crazy to talk to my watch and get whatever info I need in seconds
If it wasn't posted here yet, the pixel 2s can be found at targets on discount for $75 and some will let you price match I believe since the 3 is out now

The reddits for pixels have historically been known for over representing problems and complaints with the phones
They're different from Samsung and Apple subs because they don't ban/remove posts about problems with the pixels and let it be in one spot for people to group-complain and/or ask for tech support
I don't know anything about pixel 9s so I'm not saying it's a phone you should or shouldn't buy, I'm still on a 6, but it's important to keep in mind the pixel subs are always skewed with a lot of extra negativity (I've never had any of the problems associated with the 6 on reddit, and there were tons of posts about it not receiving or making calls and stuff when I joined/had just bought the phone)

It is huge. Def going to create wrist problems if you hold your phone a lot

I would love a smaller phone man my 13 is about as big as I would reasonably go
