im a data program manager for a homeless shelter

i could see it being draining tho

it has been pretty stressful lately

covid finally hitting our shelters thats the main problem
we managed to stay safe and isolated from it the whole summer but finally s*** went down

it was bound to happen
idk if u have had it but i recently got it and it wasnt bad

for the elder tho i could see it being tough

i been negative thru all of this
just got a mandatory test from work wednesday got the results this morning
but yeah so much of our local homeless population is extremely at risk due to age and health conditions
so we been scrambling to contract with local motels/community centers/etc. to isolate those most at risk
its been so stressful as of late lmao
and i dont do so well with stress I been sleeping like 10 hours a night just to cope with it

i dont handle stress well i dont think, i just kinda repress but basically all my days run together i have no grasp of time atm. everyday is friday, monday, saturday it doesnt matter anymore it all just runs together

should try to get on a good sleep pattern tbh. dealing with people is really stressful especially when they rely on u

my job been pretty low stress until the last month cuz my direct boss left for the mayo clinic to have surgery so that added a few more reponsibilities and then now this covid clapping us

every day Im sending out dozens of emails and I'm on the phone all the time coordinating so much

because suddenly having accurate data and being able to track it well is of supreme importance for contract tracing

so i went from like 0-100 and i feel like I have mental whiplash or something lmao I just go home and kinda zombie my way around until I go to bed its wild

but im doing good work so i can sleep well i guess lol

a whole myriad of problems bothering me but it is what it is. im just grinding it out till december/january then i can exit. i own my own project and have it all mapped out but currently its 15-16 hour days of nonstop work. havent seen friends in months
