Cus of the distorted synth being used?? It's literally just the synth from Jaded with trap drums lol
!https://youtu.be/v5-6lxPzdFQ!https://youtu.be/L2y1wk5EB6UNow u know this isn't the same lol.
Would have ruined another Drake song after the s*** he pulled on Pain 1993.
I learned to appreciate his verse more it was just so jarring hearing drake and than Carti lol.
He shows love first because he's taking advantage of his leverage and position.
"I see this rapper's hot, let me give him a record with me on it for his album so when his fanbase sees his new project and single, I'm on it"
I mean it didnt exactly happen that way with Kodak did it? And he still shows him love til this day without a feature from him
I'm not disagreeing with you but when people say this it sounds one sided but they benefit from it way more than Drake. Drake gives out Sicko Modes Life Is Goods and plenty of other hits when he doesn't have to. Gunna asked him for Solid and Drake told him he could have it. We've heard stories like that about him for over a decade now.
It's a fact that Drake is easily the most generous artist in the game. He gets called out more for working with new rappers (his peers don't get the same criticism) but he'd get called out for ignoring them too. It's a lose lose for him
Pure facts. you articulated it better than I ever could.
It's lame, but I think it's more about the era we in now. Not just Drake. Akademiks was just accusing Future of doing the same thing, using newer artists for their clout.
I feel like you cant collab with anyone now as an established artist without niggas thinking theres something else to it.
Lmaoo it’s so weird how the interviewer just asks a question and then nods his head in silence as Keem stutters through his answer n s*** . Have a conversation with him nigga!
The way it sounded to me was like they sent in their verses and drake didn't put them on the final track, kinda like how in the rap radar interview he said some artists allow for others to "try out" a verse and if they don't like it they simply toss it aside.

Hook 'Em
ehh
i think WATTBAS was a completely different song, but Drake just liked the lyrics he used at the end of his verse so much he built another song around them
Damn I’m tripping, just relistened and it’s a whole diff beat
Drake and his team are well aware of how these albums will be perceived historically.
20 years from now, you don't wanna look at CLB and see "Gunna" on the tracklist and they know that.
There's a reason why "Sneakin" wasn't on an album
Laugh now w/durk won't be on an album.
There's a reason why he was willing to do the Yung Bleu record
Why HE personally reached out and did the record with Drakeo, but Drakeo won't be found on CLB
Endless examples tbh He'll probably have something on Voice of The Hereos too watch
He does these one offs with these acts because he 1) f***s with these rappers and 2) It helps him stay relevant.
Sneakin' was 1000% album worthy though. I'm still mad that song and Two Birds, One Stone didn't make it on there.

Sneakin is fire lol

Actually surprising af how it didn’t make an album and was more of a throwaway . Just had that fall Halloween vibe to it

That song is menacing as f***. I love it.

Just out of curiosity, where would you have put it on the More Life tracklist?
Just out of curiosity, where would you have put it on the More Life tracklist?
I would have put it after Two Birds, One Stone and that after Since Way Back. It has a 3 Types of Drake transition: R&B->Lyrical->Hit Maker. All three beats are pretty dark and sinister so they flow well together.
wow that would have been cool oh well
