Throwing dismissive motives on a dude just trying to educate in a polite, cordial manner about this basic ass concept . Salute @insertcoolnamehere your patience is prob wasted on this place
But he’s not. You weren’t even in the thread. So maybe stfu before puffing out your chest
Kids never cared like that if they didn't grow up in a highly judgemental environment to begin with.
And that's the biggest issue.
deadass my homegirls little brother saw a gay couple at a restaurant and he asked her why they were all cuddled up and s***, she explained to him they were gay and he was just like "oh ok" and just ate his food
@insertcoolnamehere
I mean there’s gonna be times where asking for stats seems out of place and this seems like one of them. If I’m giving benefit of the doubt @02Shaq is saying that a lot of people in that age bracket didn’t grow up understanding those terms, especially since it seems like culturally at large they’ve become ubiquitous in the past few years.
I agree he made a generalizing statement but is that so wrong in this instance? I think he’s rhetorically saying “come on, you can understand these things weren’t common knowledge for adolescent boys born during that time”. I’m not sure what paper u want him to cite and what methodology U would approve of in said research, but Id also generally agree on face that the average kid wasn’t familiar with the idea of gender fluidity if they were born during that time. Would you mind sharing some evidence of the contrary? If u don’t feel the onus is on u that’s cool.
I can also understand that it becomes hard to give people the benefit of the doubt given the behavior in this thread especially in the face of provided evidence.
Before y’all get on how long this is, I’m sure some of you have cumulatively typed much more.
You didnt even have to type all that
To anyone with a working brain who didnt grow up in a gated community its obvious that kids grew up way different back then
A few superheroes in drag isnt going to change the fact that being called gay used to be the worst insult u can call somebody
S*** was so bad that when i was a kid i used to pray that i didnt turn out to be gay later
Except the situation we're talking about was not no romantic s*** it was just a nigga meeting a woman he finds attractive, who had a vagina, who he's vibing with and everything and him being disinterested once he learns her gender identity.
And why is that? What is guiding that? Deep down it's rooted in most mfs thinking that trans women arent women, cuz if he saw her as one that s*** wouldnt be a factor
oh s***
Me too tbh. It’s like HEY, keep that music s*** out of here, this is a gender and sexuality Socratic seminar thread now

Niggas love flexing their privilege
thanks for explaining @SegaDreamFlash
But he’s not. You weren’t even in the thread. So maybe stfu before puffing out your chest
No one is doing all that man he’s just trying to shed some light on something for you . It’s not abt impressing ppl we’re on an anonymous forum lol
I’m glad you brought that up. Cause that nigga still doesn’t understand it. Yet you’re on here on your perch judging acting like it’s so easy to understand just because you understand it
It's called making an attempt.
You don't always come through with everyone. If one person understood what I meant (drizzymob) and one other person don't then hey, can't say I didn't try. I'm not (especially over the internet) gonna go climb hill after hill and go from angle to angle to try to get one person to understand the same point that another nigga understood without me having to do all that work?
I'm not an academic teacher bruh. lol. And also there's another person actively talking to him but you got your antennas stuck on me because....whenever we get into these discussions your antennas is always stuck on me for some weird reason lol.
Niggas love flexing their privilege
Idk if this about me but I’m not flexing privilege I just agree with u and was explaining to dude cus it seemed like y’all were talking past each other. I def didn’t grow up knowing this s*** and probably still barely do.

He’s not shedding light on anything for me. He thinks because he grew up privileged enough to understand gender fluidity and sexuality and s*** from a young age that everyone grew up the same way he grew up. When the truth is most didn’t

@02Shaq is really mad that someone dared to grow up different than him. And then actively tries to help people out even in response for that get called names lmfao.
Like it's whatever, I'm surprised niggas is just really mad somebody just....grew up different. It's a forum.
there's active queer users that yall don't even listen to when they be ranting to yall about the s*** they go through on this forum lmao. But I'm tryna be the "woke" one in the room.

I feel you. They seemed like they were talking past each other and it was also to the other people in this thread because ppl being fast and loose about what they want when someone makes a comment about anything.
I’m on the same page as you that it’s common sense people born during that time period (we, I’m assuming) grew up different. I still hear peers younger siblings still stay crazy stuff but it’s changing slowly.

Alphabet brigade are people who frame everything as queerphobic
LGBT are Lesbian Gay Bisexual and trans people

you really consistently put words in people's mouths in an argument, this conversation should've been done 3 pages ago.
