I wasn’t really saying that I want him to be independent for that reason. I mainly think labels aren’t good in the long run is all. Something like Frank Ocean where he only has a publishing deal would be better imo
Not sure, idk if we would have gotten either project if Carti wasn’t on a label. Bruh just be living life, his end aspiration isn’t music either so I’m not sure him being independent would be any better. It works for some people but I think without having the system around you it’s difficult to get the promo and motivation to drop.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Especially after reading how much of a perfectionist he is I can kinda see why he’s very particular abt what he puts out officially. I’m jus getting a little impatient like everybody else on here smh.

Nah it was the fallout with Dro mainly, he had to cut basically all his s*** he had with Dro / Plug Beats producers for Pi’erre and others. He even said that in his interview with Yachty back then
