I feel you. I wouldn’t be thinking this way if the date wasn’t Christmas. The industry has been so calculated lately as far as putting albums out and i would just be beyond shocked if they decided to release one of the most anticipated albums on Christmas Day

Similar phenomenon at play for WLR and EA but just with albums instead of artists. If Carti dropped Red a year after Die Lit it wouldn’t have been half as big as it will be now because people would expect it, it’s just more music, everyone’s dropping. Making people demand the music adds a whole different dynamic, and while with Carti a lot of that is organic because he’s coming off a classic, it also works with no name artists, it’s simple reverse psychology

interesting how SZA is being considered a star lately.
