carti had a monumental 2019. from his star lineup feature run to leaks literally charting on spotify. prior to this year, he was far from a household name obviously. so people arent aware that the reception die lit got when it initially dropped wasnt pretty at all. however he wasnt big enough to trend on twitter. wlr will suffer from revisionist history the same way die lit did except now he has that star power to his name. he gained alot of fans over the last year and they know him from his hits only and that’s exactly what they expected here
if he was a superstar when die lit came out we would’ve literally been seeing the same reception
