Maybe I'm old and it's different now (or might be different geographically) but a lot of gay people entered beauty and theatre school where I live partly because they were some of the earliest safe places you could be open about it. Openness and acceptance big part of the culture.

The more I read her post I don’t see where she said anything outright homophobic
Even tho it’s definitely implied as a negative trait with the emojis however…
