Honestly, I wish more R&B artists hopped on these beats and showcase their vocals since the subgenre borrows majority of their sonic elements from 90s and 2000s R&B.

Bc I was listening to him in 2017 when he was singing over plugg beats:

Then out of nowhere 7 years later I see ppl saying he’s a pluggnb goat

I agree to a fault. It's crazy how it's parent genre can properly execute that ol skool R&B feel (Ex. Tonny Shhnow) but the PlugggnB artists can't do it that well at all. Most of them really.

I also feel that PluggnB has the potential to reach the Late 2000s era of R&B (Pretty Ricky, Keyshia Cole, The Dream, Mullage, etc.) in terms of appeal and vibes but it doesn't truly have that traditional or hell an artistically astute R&B singer that can take it to the next level.

It's probably that Gen Z curse

  • Genre garbage now but back in the day was incredible

Like this is pretty decent remix, but the idea is there for it to be even better

    That s*** tough too

Genre lowkey could be big on Tik Tok if it wanted too. I be hearing Plugg and PluggnB styled beats on the app a bunch of times. It could work

It might be through Tik Tok or younger kids who grew up on that s*** are now older and are probably listening to what he was doing on Soundcloud and Youtube. Only with an open mind compared to b4. He clearly is getting vindicated due to this
