So all these sales are coming up and since I'm not going to participate in the rush for all these physical objects I thought imma treat myself some software, namely Plugins for my DAW. I already have the Kontakt Library and some additional plugins that came with the SELECT Bundle (like f.e. Massive X, Classical Instrument Sessions, Guitar Rig etc. the usual). Although I'm really happy with the libraries so far, I'm looking for new sounds to expand the variety.

NI now has the following offers:

Upgrade to Komplete 12 Ultimate (600GB)
    339,50 $

Upgrate to Komplete 12 Ultimate - Collectors Edition (900GB)
    569,50 $

I saw when browsing through the plugins that Komplete ultimate really is a versatile bundle. Now I'd like to ask my fellow ktt fam if someone of you have had experiences with it and if you'd recommend it.
I was also playing with the thought of getting Omnisphere, but I haven't seen any sale yet.
Besides, if there's any other plugin you want to point out that would be worth getting whilest it's cheap please tell me, I'm always up for recommendations.

    Thanks fam!

I'd recommend buying sample packs and libraries instead of NI anything imo. There's a world of sound outside of splice ;). I cannot see Kontakt ever being worth the high price tag tbh. Maybe 10 years ago when 3rd party samplers were less intuitive, but not in 2019.
Buying tutorials has helped a bunch. I had a Sample Genie subscription for a few months, i've honestly gotten more out of that + buying old videos than any plugin. Currently have an Audioscienceonline subscription (Amit's service, tutorials from J:Kenzo and Gremlinz too), huge fan.

Only plugin i've bought is Corrosion by Hornet. It's essentially a ringmodded white noise layer with a filter, the same thing as erosion in Ableton. I'll probably grab TAL Sampler on black friday, I like EXS24 but TAL sampler just seems super sick for oldschool sampler character.

Thank you very much for your extremely reply!
Holy that TAL Sampler looks like there's a lot you could do with it, I'd probably feel overwhelmed lmao. Man you sound like you know your stuff. Dunno 'bout the subscription thing, I'm not really into that, but thanks for pointing it out.
I've seen that Plugin Boutique gives away izotope if you buy something, now I'm thinking about buying the Serato Sampler. Do you have any experience with that? I often use samples, most of the time I use Edison or SliceX to chop them up and later on play them with the mpc as a controller. The workflow feels aight but from what I've seen so far this Serato Sampler looks really intuitive and like it has a lot of timesaving features (f.e. I'm not really happy with the pitch-function rn and layering is hell a mess).

nah I've never used serato sampler. Only dudes I know that still swear by kontakt are dnb guys that are 10+ years deep in production.

When kontakt first came out, it was really the best sampler ever. You could take a Reese bass sample and automate the loop start/end time. This sound is all over mid 2000's neurofunk/techstep, but nowadays you can do the exact same thing with pretty much any sampler. I've gotten similar results in alchemy.

I prefer tutorial subscription services because there really aren't any plugins that would substantially change my workflow imo. Knowledge/learning how to use what I've got is the only thing that will change. Except for TAL Sampler ๐Ÿ˜‰. I know that Om Unit uses it, I've been eyeballing it for a couple of months now.

Only samplers I've used are the logic stock samplers, EXS24 and Alchemy.

Both are sick in their own ways, but I've been wanting to check out TAL Sampler because working with breaks in alchemy can be a pita.
