Has probably the biggest song of his career (Hotline Bling). Has a lot of great hits - Hotline Bling, Controlla, One Dance, and you could even argue Popstyle. Has iconic moments, classified an entire year 2016. Aged extremely well, probably his best produced album. Has a bunch of great songs.

I respect your opinion but it lost a few point when naming pop style as 1 of the best songs on the album Light Up alone would crush a song like that

  • It’s got his least best rap of any album so it could never be his best to me.

Never said it was a great song or one of the best songs on the album. Feel No Ways is the best song in my opinion, I was saying Pop Style is probably the 4th biggest song and was a hit.

Feel no ways leaked out before the album drop I’m in no way saying that there wasn’t good songs on the album but it was not as consistent as some of his others....out of all of his album this is definitely the 1 that could have been better

    It's not 1.
I personally have it at 3. But if we were doing an "objective" ranking, it couldn't be 1

I mean to each their own, very versatile album. Had highs in R&B/pop & Rap. I think every song from start to finish is great. It was a well rounded album in my eyes. Full of bops and great “in your feels” songs. Its still pretty high on the top 200 I believe. For the record I don’t think it’s his best album, but I still think its great and a borderline classic.

I probably have it at 3 as well. Take Care for me is #1 no doubt (just have a lot of sentimental value and nostalgia with that album, takes me back to great moments). NTWS #2 and then Views. As great as NTWS has aged, I feel like Views has aged better and could someday be the #2.

Keep the family close -> 9 -> U with me? -> feel no ways -> Hype -> Weston road flows. Cmon man how you beat that line up?

  • That summer with views elevated it to new heights

Good point bro quick question tho why are you lurking Drake sxn 🤣

    It cant be

Not his best but not his worst. The most versatile album he has and more than half of the tracks are great, some are good, little are not needed/throwaways, but the hate for views is disgusting and makes NO sense. Like not at all.

There’s no way to justify hating this album

The production is amazing on every song and they transition from one to another seamlessly. It was dropped at the perfect time in Spring and was THE album of Summer 2016.
It has some of his best songs (Keep the Family Close, U With Me, Feel No Ways, Weston Road Flows, Redemption, Too Good, Fire & Desire). It has some of his biggest hits (One Dance, Hotline Bling, Controlla).

Ultimately the album fell short of what it could have been. It would have been an undeniable classic and his best album if he just changed these things:

    1. Although I think 9 is a cool and chill song I can totally see why people call it kind of boring. It should have had a different flow for the second verse and added a beat switch with a lyrical third verse.

    2. Hype should have had a feature. I myself only listen the version with Wayne on. Could have maybe had someone else too. Otherwise it should have been cut because Still Here fills the role as the rap hit record better and it's kind of in a weird position on the album.

    3. With You should have been given to Party and Faithful should have been given to dvsn. Good songs and all but they aren't good enough to stretch out the album as much as it did. Plus they could have been good hits for your artists and it's s*** like this that make people think you only use them for yourself. I have the same criticism about him putting Crew Love on Take Care instead of just giving it to The Weend.

    4. Too Good should have been put right after One Dance. Not sure why it wasn't and why the f*** was there no video or much push as a single DRAKE????!!?!

    5. Grammys is a good song that I didn't like at first and have grown to love but I still stand by the fact that it didn't need to be on there at all and should have just given it to Future.

    6. Child's Play could have just been some loosie you released along side 4PM in Calabasas. Nice song but just doesn't need to be on the album.

    7. Pop Style is garbage in my opinion. One of Drake's worst songs and the whole Throne fiasco made it even worst. Should have never been anywhere near your album and the fact that he thought it was okay to put this on Views and Ratchet Happy Birthday on Scorpion is what makes me think he and his team are garbage at tracklisting and knowing which songs should make the album. Honestly embarrassing and almost single-handedly ruined the album for a lot of people.

    8. Don't cheaply tack on Hotline Bling at the end as a bonus track for streams. Imagine a Controlla-One Dance-Too Good-Hotline Bling four track run? Would have been amazing.

    9. Replace all the deleted songs (With You, Faithful, Grammys, Child's Play, Pop Style and potentially Hype) with 2 or 3 lyrical rap records on the level of the Time Stamp records or Tuscan Leather and Lord Knows.

    10. NAME IT VIEWS FROM THE 6IX.

Man.... Views really could have been his magnum opus.
