Ever since I was old enough to realize my surroundings, I haven't felt safe in them.
I've lived in the diverse suburbs, I've lived in Youngstown which is poor and black and I've lived in Arizona (Middle class area and in the city)
I know it's been said before but a big thing is police.
I am TERRIFIED of police, most people are.
When I go outside, every time I drive, I am always looking for police and police cars, I always keep note of where they are and try to stay out of their way.
It doesn't matter if I'm not doing anything illegal, I've been traumatized by my experiences.
It's not to say I haven't met good police, In an interaction with them, I go into it with the assumption they are good police, A lot of officers I've encountered in the past few years have actually been pretty cool, although you can't trust them because they can and will lie to you even if it's unintentional
For example, I had a family member call the police on me because she was upset about something in her life and did not like me.
(Never EVER live with your family). I was told that it was for the best that somebody leave so the situation can cool down. , The officer said it was up to me, I could either stay at the residence or he'd drop me off a couple blocks away at a park and wait for my Aunt to "cool off". He assured me I'd be able to get back in and everything was OK, Legally I'm allowed to live there and the homeowner had to give me 30 days to evict me.
Well, Cop had me get in the back, drove to a park and dropped me off. Just like that... I got some food and walked back, took about 2 hours.
I got there and my key didn't work so I got in my car and saw my aunt calling the police on me again.
There is nothing that says that I can't be around her or the property, I wasn't charged with anything as I did nothing, She just called the police as a TOOL, I honestly just wanted to get my things and get the f*** outta there (Police wouldn't even let me in, Aunt had to grab my things and bring them up)
Funny how the story changes with the locks.
I'm not allowed in and I'm s*** out of luck.
So now almost 3 weeks later. I'm living in my car trying to get a foot in somewhere.
This is not the first time I've been involved with police. I am 24 years old and it's only the most recent, It could have gone so much worse if I did not HAVE that experience in handling myself in a dangerous situation, I was calm and thoughtful with what I said in the face of a situation that could easily become police brutality
I realized that I don't even think about protecting myself from criminals any more because I'm so worried about the other side of that equation, The people looking for criminals. Whether it's police, a "Karen" or just somebody who doesn't "mind their business".
Our presence is a crime in most places of America, If not a crime, it's at least a reason to get harassed.
Your skin color is only one variable. if you look out of place, You're a target
Look at this article that shows how an officer spends their day
nytimes.com/2020/06/19/upshot/unrest-police-time-violent-crime.html
Police spend all day responding to petty domestic disputes.
They are a force of the fearful and meek
The current system manifests danger from insecurity
To clean up the streets we must reform police
Into something else entirely.

There are too many racist bootlicking cucks who like seeing cops kill people or decked out in military gear
Abolish them
That's what I'm for.
Defunding them is only going to make it worse.
Abolish them and put another system in place, there are other ideas out there

Just as an example, read some of these proposed solutions

Let me put it like this.
Plan A has to be taken out so Plan B can commence
There will be a transitional period where as with all change.
The people who want reformation have plans ready.
Society will not collapse because Police are taken out of the equation.
Fear is a powerful opposition to growth
You know how many mfs ive seen with blue lives matter memorobillia
Blue lives matter one of the most brain dead s*** in existence
"But the reality is the police become necessary in human society only at that juncture in human society where it is split between those who have and those who ain't got."
While you may be right to the fullest extent, you’re preaching to a choir OP. What’s important is finding pathways to achieve such goals. This means political organization, activism, and action
You can build dual power or you can aim to influence the establishment

I'm frustrated when I write this here to be honest, I like getting it out and hearing what you guys have to say, Debating with people, It's nice knowing people agree
I'm frustrated, it feels like I'm throwing all this passion into a void, My mouth is moving but I have no voice, I need a platform!!!!!!!
My pen and my sword have been sharpened
I'm desperately searching for my moment
Once that wound has been opened
The flow of my legend forever golden
