I get that but literally the only thing he’s missing is the marketing, everytime I listen to the track Mr. Glock I wonder why that song was not as big as many of the recent trap hits

CGodJrI think it’s because Shiesty got Gucci backing him. Dolph is independent so all his projects are underground and they’re not in the limelight. Dolph should be Moneybagg level in terms of popularity

Gucci is real viral lol. He isn’t underground anymore. If every white Girl knows you, then you’re viral.
Pooh had a few things going for him: Gucci backing, came out of nowhere so people wanted to know more, a song with Durk that has a whole backstory- perfect marketing. Also if you don’t notice, Glock barely has features. That isn’t a good thing. How can you blow if no other notable rapper is on your stuff.
Example: I love money man but no one knew who he was until Lil Baby came on the 24 remix. Lil Baby would still be underground without the right features. Pooh got the right features that took him from hood star to superstar

Not late, just felt like making the thread. KTT is slept on all the other talent gucci is brewing though. It amazes me how KTT slept on Von heavy, but Gucci throws a cosign behind a artist and there was a million Pooh Shiesty threads.

WithinHe's signed to 1017 and has a pure Memphis sound. The fact you connect to him to von and the whole argument of OP shows you're into this for the weird pageantry/cliques aspect as opposed to the Music. Couldn't be me!
Pooh shiesty is nice though. Also he's already a huge artist/star at this point. It's sort of low hanging fruit to say he could be a superstar
I been said that I'm not comparing him to Von sonically, just that he kinda filled the spot left vacant by Von.
