    This is a ridiculous take. A tragic death is great promo for a dead rapper. It will always amplify their “potential” to unlikely, unachievable heights.

    When XXX died you had people saying he was Tupac for his generation.

    Pop Smoke died you got niggas saying he’d be rap biggest superstar. Even with NY media machine pushing him, that is unlikely.

    Pop Smoke's hype is overrated. He wasn't hot like that before death and he would've had to abandon drill to be successful.

    Pop was never going to overtake Durk, Youngboy, Lil Baby, and Uzi
