A lot of his snippets from before he died werent drill, so he was trying to diversify his sound. This was probably what his album would've been minus the excessive and random features
not blaming PS, I'm just saying the album is not good
lol GF2 just pissed me off heaps with the bait and switch, you are right it has some keepers, which is more than you can say about this album imo
yeah I didn't mean that you were blaming Pop Smoke. I'm just kinda curious about if I'm about to listen to an album put together by Pop Smoke or an album put together by 50 going through Pop Smoke leftovers if you get what I mean. It's kinda the difference between somebody releasing a song they already had with X and somebody with connections asking for a chorus from his estate/label.
He f***ed up the concept of what the Godfather albums were meant to be. Like he's the Godfather of grime which the first one encapsulates, Godfather II is like he doesn't know what he wants to be. Godfather should have been kept as just Grime imo so it could be seen as the bar. Like JME says 'our music is made to measure/wiley is a national treasure'. Wiley kinda dropped that with GF2. Tracks like Eskimo Dance on GF3 tho are very loyal to what the trilogy should have always been to me
FVCK YOUR BAD VIBES BRO

Pop shows a lot of versatility and a lot of growth on some of these tracks and that's heartbreaking
