credits run halfway through the movie before s*** hits the fan. it doesn’t get any more pretentious/edgy for the sake of being than that even though it’s a goated stylistic choice

That everything everywhere Movie does this, as does Vice

Out of all the s*** to pick from that movie, you really going with that?

That wasn't my experience the few times I been there looking for cinemas. And I'm from wide open Canada where you can fit half a small euro country into one of our commutes on a bad day.

Came here to post this, sounds like exactly what OP is looking for

And I remember feeling this way while watching The Lobster. Some shots give off that edgy, appealing to hipsters vibe

Gregg Araki’s whole Teenage Apocalypse Trilogy. I’ve still not seen Totally F***ed Up, but The Doom Generation is nuts and Nowhere is one of my favorite movies. Wild movie, star-studded cast before most of them were really stars so all of those random people were never going to be in a movie together again, much less a movie as over-the-top as Nowhere is.

    Shut up

  • It’s not as edgy or artsy, but Gregg Araki also directed Smiley Face, which might be the best stoner movie ever aside from Friday. He also directed Mysterious Skin, which is kind of artsy and edgy but mostly just sad.
