Was in a pretty bad car accident Friday, was rear ended on highway at full speed while being stopped in traffic, and pushed into car in front of me. First car accident I been in, in a pretty much brand new vehicle too.

Taken by EMS to hospital, a lot of muscle/back pain but no fractures or anything. On muscle relaxers (cyclobenzaprine) currently.

Weekend was fine but today I’ve been feeling like dying and like life is hopeless idk, I know my car will be replaced and everything but just feel like giving up.

Any advice for dealing with the depression or just advice about dealing with car accident s***?

    Hey comrade,

I'm really sorry to hear about the car accident and the pain you're experiencing. It can be incredibly tough to go through something like this, especially when it's your first accident and in a new vehicle. But I want you to know that you're not alone in this.

The physical pain and emotional toll can be overwhelming, but please remember that these feelings are temporary. It's completely understandable to feel down and hopeless after such a traumatic event. Take the time you need to heal, both physically and emotionally.

One piece of advice I can offer is to lean on your support system. Reach out to friends, family, or even a therapist if you have access to one. Talking about your feelings and fears can help lighten the burden. They can provide comfort, guidance, and reassurance that things will get better.

In addition to seeking emotional support, it's important to take care of yourself physically. Follow the medical advice you received, continue taking your prescribed muscle relaxers, and give your body the rest it needs. Engaging in gentle exercises and stretches, as recommended by a healthcare professional, might help alleviate some of the pain and discomfort over time.

Remember, healing takes time. It's okay to have ups and downs during this process. Be patient with yourself and allow yourself to grieve for what you've been through. Focus on small victories and celebrate each step forward, no matter how small they may seem.

Lastly, if you find yourself struggling with depression, don't hesitate to seek professional help. They can provide you with the guidance and support you need to navigate this difficult time.

You're strong, and you will get through this. Keep reaching out for support, taking care of yourself, and remember that brighter days are ahead. You're not alone, comrade.

Sending you strength and healing vibes.
