I like using color opposites as well.

If you use the inverse color to an accent color it causes the shadows to be the inverse of the light color. It adds a really nice effect.

I do orange/ purple.

Oddly comforting

I don't use hue lights I use leds to backlight my "vocal booth". I think it gives a degree of separation that allows people to feel more comfortable when recoding like they have their own space. At the same time the light bleed into the rest of the room cast really nice shadows and adds to the ambiance

But I have always wanted hue lights just never made the investment
