Definitely a fair take.

I like the playlist format quite a bit so this is probably my favorite album of his. Easy to just throw on and listen all the way through since there’s so much variety and only like 1 miss in my opinion (hmhmm).

I think you’re spot on though that a concise r&b album would be the way for him to best appeal to the general public and critics. The playlist stuff is ideal for me as a fan but it’s a lot of songs so most people just don’t even bother

I used to love Immortal Technique back in the day but I cringe now whenever I listen to him. The whole "underground > everything" phase is embarrassing in hindsight. I respect the hustle, independence and creative freedom but a lot of the music just didn't age well with me and comes across as corny now.
