@KILLZIAH
Man btw, I think you can try to rap on a similar beat but with slowed drill drums.
A 120BPM beat could be a good idea, search this on YouTube I think it will be better for you to understand : Chanceko Bad Luv
It’s just an idea and if you’re interested we can try to work together

You don’t know how long I was trying to make this type of beats. I even switched to Ableton cause I saw Flume, Cashmere etc there. So far it sounds good, only thing I would suggest is changing up a bit more on the drop. Maybe play with the attack? There’s something but I just don’t know. When you’re done/if you finish it, please follow up id love to listen to it
Kehlani remix I dropped apart of an EP
I love this to the fullest, only thing I would’ve done (maybe it’s my style(?)) I would chop the vocals up a bit too in maybe one instance just for that ear candy. Again loved the drums, the pauses (underrated instrument) and you can never go wrong with delayed vocals on these type of instrumentals, they elevate the beat. Another style I love especially growing up with Dilla and still following some producers with that sound. You def got it right, man those drums

My G turned an 808 to an instrument instrument guy made a 808 hook. Crazy crazy beat. Something I know I can’t do (not my style) but any tips on how to be a 808 bender like you? I’m on Ableton if that helps.

Ableton is p good for 808 glides / pitch bending if you have ableton 11

Better upgrade!
Better upgrade!
When I was on FL I remained on FL 11 producer edition
I only got Ableton 10 cause my old Mac that had 9 broke
I only stopped using My 2008 Mac end of last year
I’m still on IOS 13 on my iPhone 6
As you can see I have fears of upgrades

My brother thank you
I simply recorded the 808 track and panned it through the song. I panned for 8 bars and repeted for the rest of the song.
Also, I compressed some low mid/mid and filtered them at 20%, didn’t touch the bass frequencies.
Also used a suit long 808 sample (from Soulker drum pack if I remember correctly).
The most important is the use of EQ. No instrument should use the bass frequencies in order to bend it clean.
Hope I helped :
😈 wyt?
Great atmosphere.
At 1:20 something, you can add a counter melody at frequencies you don’t use, a flute or a high note vocal for instance.
Maybe for the beginning you can use some fattened and filtered bass (not an 808).
Overall it’s really promising.

Idk it’s just years of ear training I guess.
I also usually mute the melody when I program drums or else my ear get fatigued to it
Had the biggest producer's block but here it is
Wanted something like Weston Road flows
