This is a spectacular afro-house album from like 2009 that I gave a spin in like 2023 and fell in love with ever since

every guest vocalist brings something different to each track, whether its their performance or lyrics

good range of topics, some romantic, some more conscious or dramatic

there's a couple instrumental tracks that don't really feel like filler, cause they also have their own distinct vibes and the production also just gets pretty interesting and more dynamic

and it has seamless transitions between songs and i fuccin LOVE when albums do that

yeah just a great fuccin album

oh and you might've heard of it cause Drake sampled it on More Life

Incredible electronica inspired pop music. Lots of bjork vibes. Hints of frank ocean but very unique. Meticulous production that really sounds like it was years in the making. Great voice, great subject matter. He hit all the boxes for a classic.

Its literally like chungking express/ lost in translation in an album format too. Never heard that vibe captured so well. Super cinematic and its not pretentious. He easily couldve went into that brockhampton style of doing too much if he didnt catch himself. But its all so tasteful and mature

Sadly the promo was god awful and the wait was literally longer than franks. Idk if hes touring it either but it actually lived up to the hype. Should peep this if you like good pop music.
