    I like the way you coast with the production, it makes this a real cohesive vibe! What new microphone did you get?

    For the vocal mix if you have the waves plugins I'd recommend using the ssl gate or the NS1 gate to remove some of the room tone in the recording. NS1 adds a bit of low end though (but its easier to dial in) so just compensate for that in the EQ

    and bet i never tried using a gate, generally pretty s***ty at mixing myself, still got difficulties hearing for frequencies but what you think of this one mix wise? i spent a little bit more time on this one just now

Tbh people make mixing seem really intimidating, but really the best way to learn is to pull up the simplest plug in (maybe 2 or 3 major controls) and then crank everything ridiculously. then just keep dialing it back until it sounds good to you. then compare that to the original and see if you like it. If you do that with a simple gate--> compressor--> eq you can almost guarantee yourself a cleaner vocal.

    it truly is, as soon as i plugged it in and heard myself back through monitoring i was blown away by how clean it sounded just dry

    ive spent so much time watching some youtube tutorials on it and it fr been feeling like the most complicated thing in the world for me for the longest but thats a fire technique i never tried that approach

    This is a great record, constructively, I’m not sure who your demographic is age wise, but if you take the “yuh”’s out, it will raise the competency/maturity of the song x100
    Not that I don’t like the yuh, just pointing out something that would turn certain people off

    yeah most deff will fix it in my other songs ill take more time with them.
