Yesterday Drake haters cosplayed as Kaytranada stans. Today it's Carti stans. Same niggas that been saying "These new Narcissist singles ain't hit" or "Carti features are getting weaker" he said 3 words on a Drake feature and we saw them say for the past week and a half how weak it is now suddenly it's the cure for cancer and Drake is evil for removing it. It's funny seeing this vocal group move from one goalpost to the next

It was, but I don’t think that was the expectation given it was released on a Friday night and not given a full tracking week. People make fun of family matters “flopping” but numbers wise it’s in line with all the disses outside of not like us. Not Like Us was just a hit.. no two ways about it, but a diss record like family matters going number 1 was going to be tough… it was very direct and didn’t have the catchiness to it like back to back did (and back to back charted like 20 or something like that)

The reason that’s my theory is I keep thinking back to the rap radar interview. Drake doesn’t run from battles but it’s not what he wants to be remembered for… I guarantee he wants a song that represents himself when he’s not speaking out of character/dissing people breaking the record.

Yeah nah I agree with you. I feel like that’s the case as well. He gotta break it eventually so there has to be some plan in place I would hope😂 with the sloppiness lately though who knows haha

Paired with the fact that AK was literally hanging out with PND the night the first pack made it to DSPs and, if I remember right, it was Drake on FaceTime that he overhead and he just nonchalantly said “those are going to streaming tonight, right?” On a Saturday night lol.

Like there’s clearly a bigger plan here lol.
