What would you do?
To be completely honest I got no clue bro. I've tried to think of it in different ways but it really depends what caliber of hits the Drake x PND tape got. I know for sure that Drake's next solo project is going to be his best album ever. Or at least top 3. He's definitely going to put hits on hits b/c every time people have questioned him, questioned his resilience, he's answered with classics. And he's not missed with collab projects either. WATTBA and HL both straight gas.
It's September, we're one month away from Oct - I think at this point its smart to drop the tape with PND, let it run for a few months and drop his solo project in Jan/Feb. Part of me also wants him to put some serious time into his actual solo project. FATD wasn't my favorite although. I grew fond of it a lot more recently but I want introspective Drake, I want drake that's talking s***. On his bully s***.
Considering Drake x PND tape actually comes out this year, he said it himself its a full tape full of music for gyal - I desperately need another IYRTITL type of rap heavy project for the mandem. But take the time, get introspective, get methodical with it.
Long winded answer, sorry, but TLDR: PND x Drake then take his time and drop his solo project in early/mid 2025.

See, I recognize this take as well and I agree but given the current climate of hate - I don't want him to drop his best stuff only for Kendrick to come with supbar trash that gets overhyped just simply b/c its a 'its cool to hate drake' moment, you feel me? It is really interesting to think about where his headspace is at rn. I hope we get introspective Drake as well. It's crazy because it did seem like he knew something like this was going to happen where a lot of people in the hip-hop world would turn on him. I don't think he was expecting Future tho.
But now that it has happened I'm curious what kind of songs we are going to get.
