Rappers continuing to act like they're curing cancer
Akademiks has been biased towards Drake but he was spot on about this, it all boils down to personal preference at the end of it all

Rappers, like the artists before then in other genres have the ability to impact anyone's live significantly. Nothing wrong with taking pride in your work. Listen to some KA

Being disrespectful to who?
Rappers as a whole are not solving cancer or the world's problems they are rapping over beats. All of them.
I'm not singling out anyone and I said RIP to a goat who I've personally been a fan of for years.

All I'm saying is don't downplay the power of music bro, there's a reason record labels sign these artists for hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

I don't want to cut this short at all.
You think labels are signing people to impact the world in some specific negative or positive way?
Not for the dollars and synergistic promo? Despite us living in a capitalistic world where everyone everywhere needs money?

Anything that goes against our deeper conscious and slowly picks at our soul is negative.
Going to work everyday using up all your energy to make senior execs richer is negative, as we know they don't see you as human but a number.
Media consumption for the past century promoting values to wealth in family and personal health to material wealth influencing generations to prioritize money over real relationships to what we have now soon approaching dystopian levels of a unnatural society where everything is transactional and nothing is sacred enemy and is a fight for your soul, I'd say yes it's negative because money in essence is the root of all evil.
Not a topic I want to engage in this thread and I'm going to sleep soon. Good exchange. Good to get the keyboard workin'.
