Isn't this a classic case of an organization hiring a fixer per say and the victim/target sues the organization but the organization throws the fixer under the buss to deflect attention and clean their hands? Sure feels like that's the main play here by UMG. They rather sacrifice Kendrick and let him get buried than have to shell out $500m+. IF Drake wins, the damages that boy gon get in $$$ will truly make niggas SICK. Easily over half a billy. If latter I’d imagine it’s cuz Kendrick is under a LLC providing the label some protection, but UMG could just be filed as a coparty if that were the case. I guess UMG and their attorneys felt it would be easier to settle if they were listed as co-defendants and then got severance to settle out of court. I’m not sure though lol

nah he had this lawsuit s*** in the tuck since time, probably a month before plot twist / 100 gigs even started. he literally was on stream talking about party album coming soon 75% done. 1 day before the suit got initiated. i think the party album coming. whether it gets distributed by UMG is the big question. Who knows, they're not gonna bend over and take it, they may retaliate in their on way too holding up that album

Party is under Sony iirc so id imagine it’d be put out as one of his albums.
