This is a necessary response. There's a point when you're a big enough star like MJ or Pac when your tested in life. He either goes through with this or turns p**** and tucks his tail between his legs. He can't do that or they'll know they can always walk all over him. When something like this happens you have to do what you have to do, win or lose after this is all over no one can say he didn't try to stand up for himself. He's not the one taking it there, they already did when they backed Midrick to leverage a better contract negotiation next time, and also to put him in his place, so this isn't on him even tho it looks like it is. It's f***ed up because they know what they did and they expected him to just take it when he's been lining up their pockets. This nigga was feeding Lucian's children and they had the audacity to side with his enemies while they all had him cornered back against the wall

F*** them and atp Drake's legacy is cemented. The internet could say whatever tf they want but the numbers are proof, they people fw Drake, real f***ing people not no bots. You still hear Hold On We're Going Home and Passionfruit at weddings. God's Plan, Hotline Bling, One Dance so many classics out shopping, at the gym, on the radio, etc. Verses like Stay Schemin and SICKO MODE are the gold standard in how to renegade. Even stuff like No Lie or Look Alive is dated but in a good way because it instantly takes you back to that time period, we're going to remember those for decades. That's love money can't buy and labels can't replicate in boardroom meetings with graphs and focus groups. That's real ass love for the goat, even his haters know those songs word for word and they hate that they do. If he loses to UMG and FATD is the end of his discography... let's just be thankful. It was an incredible run and I'm especially glad we got to enjoy it together here

If he loses UMG also loses. Who else is bringing in this much revenue? They ain't give him 400M for nothing. They'd have to be willing to throw away any chance at possibly another decade of hits, multi-platinum plaques, commercial licensing revenue, merchandise, etc. I think there's a possibility they offer a settlement and avoid both the trial and losing Drake. Now would he accept that is the real question and does that open up UMG to a lawsuit from Midrick that they'd also have to settle if he sees Drake is successful and pursues

Someone said Drake's next album will be Kanye's MBDTF level quality work. That'd be amazing considering MBDTF is one if not my favorite Ye project. Hope he really has the same mentality for his own project as he keeps referring to this Party/Drake collab album "we're gonna give you guys what you guys want, that old party and drake sound'. I want that IYRITL + Views Drake back. 40 showing the industry that ain't nobody like him type s***. Next solo Drake project will have the world at the edge of everybody's seats.
