there is no album that interludes or skits ever made better
The way drake uses interludes to showcase/feature other artists in his albums is pretty interesting (my personal favorites are Yebbas (Yebbas heartbreak) Kendricks (Buried alive) and Majid Jordans (summer's over). These interludes rarely feel like drake songs and focus more on the featured artist. Knowing the position a huge star like drake has in the game it's a pretty nice way of putting on lesser known acts. In that sense its nice but i have to agree on the fact that they don't necessarily add too much to the project atleast not all the time.
I have to disagree about the skits tho. I usually love hearing them unless there are too many. In todays age where most people rarely listen to full albums and music consumption in general is more playlist driven they are rare gems, almost like a small reward for listening to the album in full as it was intended, providing context and setting the mood of a project. While not directly a skit (more like soundbites) the dialogues with the sound effects like rain and wind blowing imo have a huge impact on setting the vibe for VIEWS
Not even trying to be funny but Kendrick had no idea what he was saying when he said watch the party die
Not even trying to be funny but Kendrick had no idea what he was saying when he said watch the party die
I think he meant he was killing the vibe of the party when one of his tracks plays
Drake is not a name that you going to see on no s***offender list
Jay Z does it
