Any watch guys know the Rolex he got on in his most recent post?

Looks like a Tiffany dial Daytona with blue diamonds or sapphires but I’ve never seen that as a factory piece, might be custom?

must be doing something interesting enough to keep you tapped in unc

Same people who act like you're insulting them when you call them mentally ill. I wouldn't be checking for someone 10 years later if I really felt like they hadn't made anything of value in that time.

Aftermarket. Not even an off catalogue piece. Rolex doesn’t set their bezels like that

they have been running the 'drake albums bloated' narrative for a long time, views was called a bloated mess but was the same length as take care

It’s almost like the albums sound completely different and tracklist length isn’t the main problem but rather a symptom

Yall so extreme with yall outlook of Drake fandom man lol

It’s either utter loyalty or total disdain no grey area or nuance šŸ’€

In reality most people here who criticize his albums are actually still big fans they just expect more from him and want a certified classic from him that’s all lol.

A perfect example for you to grasp what I’m saying is Hov. I’m a pretty big Hov Stan. I like all his albums. I like the majority of his songs. But that don’t mean I think every album he dropped is a classic lol. I’d give him RD, BP, TBA, and 444 hands down and Vol 2, AG, and WTT if I’m feeling generous. The point is there are plenty of Jay-Z albums that are clearly not classics. But he dropped them at a pretty regular clip throughout his career from 1996 to 2017.

Now in the case of Drake he came out the gate swinging with SFG as a classic tape, TC and NWTS pretty well respected as classic albums, and IYRTITL another classic tape. Then the classics just STOPPED lol. Don’t get me wrong, the music stayed good more or less, but every single project he’s released since IYRTITL has pretty clearly missed the mark of being a classic or even a serious classic contender. That’s a long ass stretch of good but not great albums. That’s all we be saying b.

It’s really that simple. They act like every person who criticizes his music is just a hater or mentally ill, whole time we’re just fans who have been underwhelmed by his output for the past decade. That doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of songs he’s released over the past 10 years that we enjoy

The problem is that the people I'm speaking on don't just say "the classics stopped," they flat out say he hasn't dropped any good music at all in 10 years or that all the music he's dropped since 2016 has been utter trash. What's there to talk about after saying that? That's what prompts me to call them mentally ill for still lurking in his threads everyday and still checking for his music because if they really thought that, they wouldn't be doing that.

Drake has been active musically for at least 20 years now. That he's still giving fans great music at all should be considered a W because he's never taken a break in all that time and it's other rappers who can't even make a decent song to save their life after 20 years. Who cares that the music is not "classic"? So now, you can't appreciate music unless you or other people deem it a classic? That must mean you listen to none of the music that's dropped over the last couple of years then.

ā€œHis producer challenged himā€ is not the excuse you think it is

Majority of people do not ever discuss Room for Improvement or Comeback Season when talking about Drake, they’re not on streaming, and he doesn’t perform any of the songs live whatsoever. Obviously they still exist but they’re kind of irrelevant to this discussion. But even with them included, the average is still 3 songs fewer than his post-streaming release average

"The only reason the album is 14 songs is not relevant" is what you just said

"The only reason the album is 14 songs is not relevant" is what you just said

He’s dropped projects that were 16 songs or less numerous times throughout his career, so yes, 40 ā€œchallengingā€ him for NWTS is completely moot

You’re acting like NWTS is his only short project and literally everything else was 20+ tracks, then you would have a valid point

The same people trying to convince you only short Drake albums are good won't be able to tell you why Cole's last 5 solo projects each have 12 tracks but only one of them is remotely considered a good, memorable album

Cole can’t make a great project

    Drake can

Which makes it frustrating when he doesn’t.

Cole is not as good of an artist as Drake.

Also, NOBODY is saying that tracklist length is the sole determining factor of what makes an album great.

Anyone who is saying that is completely wrong.

With Drake, the bloated tracklists are a SYMPTOM, not the main problem

There's no truth to this. The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights are back to back classic mixtapes. Born Sinner is a really good album and he followed that up with 2014 FHD, his one undisputed classic so he can clearly put great projects together, yet, despite making short concise albums since 2014, his music has largely been a miss/forgettable, proving it's a lot harder making a great project (concise album or not) than y'all think.

Who’s yall. I do not think it’s easy to make a great project.

Also nothing about FHD is undisputed. I guess fnl and the warm up are great but it’s still a stretch. But FHD is average to good and the rest are ass the off season is his best studio album.

Either way Cole and Drake don’t belong in the same sentence as Drake has 2 great albums and Cole has zero

I haven’t seen many people say that other than trolls that don’t warrant a response or idiots

And no an album doesn’t have to be a classic for me to enjoy it, especially Drake’s albums lol

But also every time he drops and falls short of a classic it’s like watching one of your favorite nba players get to the finals and loose. Doesn’t take away from how great a season they might’ve had but as a fan of the game and as someone who knows how talented they are you just hate to see it.

That's because "classic" has lost all meaning cause yall expect every album to be one or it's a let down in some way
