Sometimes I think yall forget to just have fun

It’s just music guys, stop putting pressure on it like it has to be the most generational thing of all time

We got Drake out here doing full livestreams and sharing some stuff he’s been doing

He’s still having fun and making music this deep in his career, just appreciate the moment for what it is vs what some random people on twitter think its supposed to be

he’s doing worse versions of what others are doing rn that’s why

And he had something with Honestly Nevermind but folded and jumped quick to get into bitter loser rap

Sassy dance music era Drake was at least fun. Now it's near 40 year old man tryna keep up with the teenagers type of s*** and it's cringe

    right on the head

the second a rapper links up with a f***in streamer i know it's over

I’ll offer a bit more to this. I think something that made Drake special or moments special I’ll say is he’d hop on a sound murk that s*** but then still more or less return to form. I feel like him constantly churning out this new age music really reduces the reception to it. Like idk if that makes sense but he was always in his best bag jumping in and out of sounds not fully shifting his music philosophy towards it

Rewatching during the Mafiathon vod and I can’t get over the fact this would’ve been the most creative crazy most dope thing Drake has ever done if he just executed and actually played the track during the red room with everybody overlooking him

  • The highlights were the italian song he played in the beginning which is now saved in my library. Dude always has great taste in mursick.

The Somebody Loves Me remix is hard too

Honestly I don't know why it's Drake stans upset about these tracks. It's hardly any different from the same ol generic kinda s*** he's been putting out since Scorpion that they were creaming themselves over.

We been telling y'all this nigga be making the same kinda f***in song for years and y'all didn't wanna hear it. Now y'all don't like these tracks? What's so different now lol

For one. Cash cobain should never have his voice on a song

Oh facts. Even with Versace, it had his spin to it and his swag. He owned them on their own records. Now he’s getting washed by the sound he’s trying to hop on. He should NOT be getting outperformed by f***ing Yeat TWICE.

  • Sep 5, 2025

the fact that the only US rapper left to collab with is Yeat tells u how over it is

it's really close to greatness which makes it even more frustrating

To be fair, Ross said himself he stepped in cause of how Drake treated French.

At least Ross is consistent, he didn’t get anything out of calling out birdman for taking advantage of lil Wayne but he still did it off principle

Drake didn't do anything to French and Ross didn't just "step in." He resorted to making racially insensitive jokes about Drake, something his baby mama already exposed about him when he was talking s*** about Drake to her when they were still together years before the beef. Ross is just a snake.

He’s going the Ye route in a way. Ye used to pick the up and coming sound and recontextualize it in a way that made you think about that new sound differently. Drake was more of a I’m gonna jump into this new sound for a sec and bring light to it like you said.

Ye eventually started actively trying to sound like the new sound instead of doing his own thing with it and now Drake is doing the same.
