Oct 11, 2025thegreatdivineY'all know how critical I can be about Kendrick but even at that, I've said it MULTIPLE TIMES on here that the only "miss" he had from Overly Dedicated till GNX was Mr. Morale. I've called Section.80 > GKMC > TPAB classics on here multiple times. I don't think DAMN is a classic but it's a very good album and Mr. Morale is the first time Kendrick didn't stick the landing for me but he bounced right back on GNX.
Niggas got on here and tried to talk down on GNX and I straight up defended it. That's the guy that won a rap beef against my favorite rapper btw but I can still have clarity when it comes to his music because I've been a Kendrick fan for as long as I've been a Drake fan.
Some of you use "I've been listening to Drake since the beginning" to lie like dude is now making absolute trash music. Crazy disingenuous takes about dude and everything he does but no one should push back on those takes because y'all are "fans" and everyone else is just a mindless sycophant because they choose to enjoy Drake and his music rather than find an issue with everything he does

Yeah if you're a fan of traditional Drake 100%, his singles are made to be the most commercially succesful nowadays. Remember when Marvin's Room was a single? Drake doesn't want to take that same risk anymore

I think this is true even for an album like scorpion. I find myself revisiting songs like Blue Tint, Finesse, Is There More, Sandra’s Rose more than the albums singles that were generationally impactful

That was hardly a risk to me when he said it would be an RnB album and he got SZA to feature who had been one of the most succesful albums of the year. HNVM was a real risk but even then he had to put Jimmy Cooks on there
