A year and a half later they can’t get over the fact that the biggest moment of drakes career was losing to Kendrick

Drake waited his whole career to face Kendrick (his words) only to lose in embarrassing fashion

All the streams in the world won’t stop Drake from being known as the certified pedophile for the rest of his career

this is why i can never take kendrick seriously. how do you have everything handed to you and you're still not on top. like come on

He got the best chance possible to establish himself as the #1 guy in the game and take that spot from Drake. Had the whole world, the entire media complex, the entire industry and everything else possible on his side and still couldn't get it done. But hey, he won the rap battle so I guess there's always that. Too bad being the #1 guy in the rap game isn't decided by a battle lmao.

It’s not decided by streams either

Look, I don't even mind Kendrick doing the Superbowl or winning Grammys or whatever at Drake's expense. That's whatever. He's the second-biggest rapper in the game after Drake so it's whatever.

It's just funny seeing ALL the people who jumped out of the woodwork during the beef to INSIST that Drake's career was done, that Kendrick was now the #1 rapper in the game, etc.

After the massive barrage of negative press around Drake's name, all the disgusting lies and nasty narratives that got pushed on Drake, all in an effort to destroy his image and his career (and don't believe any idiot that tries to act like that wasn't always the goal), those same people now have to act like the same numbers they used to make a case for Kendrick being bigger and better than Drake no longer has any significance because ALL of Kendrick's numbers across every conceivable metric has dropped drastically to how they've always been, while Drake's numbers have not only remained stable but have risen.

Now, magically, Spotify streams don't matter, monthly listeners don't matter, an album charting high doesn't matter, selling out shows doesn't matter. It's just hilarious to see the switch up.

this is one of the reasons i'm not mad all these happened. all the supposed purists showed their hand and can now never go back on it. they care about sales alot. it only stopped mattering when drake dominated too much. and now drake has a publicly valid reason to pay dust to all these fake rappers and media heads.

The battle and drakes recent output really put a spotlight on his streams

They really didn’t save him during the battle and his new music isn’t performing

Back catalog makes you a legacy act, it doesn’t make you currently the best unfortunately

What’s the reason for Drake’s older albums and songs charting so well, particularly recently? I saw a tweet that Headlines was the #1 most played solo rap song in the US a few days ago.

Is there a TikTok trend going on?

i never believed he could either so i was never worried. it was only going to happen if he released an album on the same level of gkmc and even then drake catalog is way too great to be diminished by someone like Kendrick. gnx to me is good album that cannot stand on its own once the context surrounding it fades away

    Confirmado?

Someone posted a couple pages ago that Graduation is the #1 most played rap album in the US right now.

I mean I still listen to the album to this day but really, #1?

They've been gaining slowly since the start of 2025 and gained a lot more once he went on tour.

drake has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of TikTok. almost every sports video i see on it has a drake song playing. also he is basically on the news every week which always helps with streaming. also tour

I still bump the album but its success is very tied to Drake and the beef and that's a reason why its performance has already decreased as much as it has. It's whatever, though.

Looking forward to Iceman and what Drake comes with 😊

Here we go with this surface level popularity contest numbers bullshit like rap is just some grind about who can sell the most and have the most hits like its the only important thing in rap music and all that matters.

Just a friendly reminder if streams made you the best then Drake stans wouldn’t be coming up with so many excuses as to why Drake lost the battle
