I feel like it was always planned to not drop this year. Planning and executing the episodes with the $$$4U tour would have been a massive effort in the background so they wanted to separate those moments from the album which alone is a massive effort, especially being one of his most anticpated albums. Drake also probably didn't want to repeat FATD era of dropping after tour. He always mixes up his rollouts

Childish Gambino just put out a website where fans can vote for and effectively choose his setlist for Camp Flog Gnaw.

I think no artist would benefit from a concept like this more than Drake. It would be so cool if he did like a 20-stop tour where each night’s setlist was 100% voted for and chosen by his fans

Or take it even a step further because of how popular he is

10 city tour date

Each city gets three nights

Fans buy tickets to one of the three nights in each city

Fans vote for and choose the setlist for each individual night

And then when each setlist is decided, everyone who bought a ticket can choose which night in the city they want to go to based on the setlist for it
