Im probably drake’s biggest fan but I agree with tease.

Something is off

Even how long he’s taking to drop, thats not a good sign for iceman. It’s unlike Drizzy,

I don’t feel the confidence or certainty. I definitely don’t sense the hunger

At this point I’d be surprised if the album isnt worse than FATD.

Push ups and family matters genuinely reminded me of IYRTITL drake.

So he’s still in there somewhere but I almost feel like for the first time in his career his ego is getting in the way of his music

His ego has always assisted him previously

Hate to say it but I think we are watching Drake in his wizards Jordan era

Especially with no 40, this is not the same artist I love.

But everyone of his peers are falling off too. Kdot and rocky are no where near as good as they used to be either. Punk Rocky was awful WTF

Kendrick ironically got more gangster which is … something no one wants to call out without sound hypocritical but he still raps just as sharp. Drake sounds like he’s in his slop era and he’s doing it out of spite.

Again, he’s not even rapping two full verses anymore. He’s given up on quotable and fan service of RAP.

Musically, I feel like it did. What did I miss is very on brand for standard Drake. Nokia is right in line with him trying something different but turning it into a hit. The numbers may not be there but I thought the numbers didn’t matter as long as the music was good anyways.

Idk maybe I just see it differently. I mean, he even mentioned taking a break after FATD and then he wasn’t able to because of the beef. Maybe he hasn’t taken a break musically but from a strategy standpoint he has. Circadian rhythm, No Face, and it’s up were all fantastic songs that were just rolled out poorly. Very much met the “Drake” standard musically in my opinion.

From the past 2 years it should be obvious that numbers always mattered. It’s just that Drake was so ahead of everyone else that they started downplaying it. Drake dropped amazing songs like circadian rhythm, blue greed red, no face, wdim and they’re talking about how it wasn’t quality cuz they didn’t go #1 due to him beefing with his label
