Drakes never really been consistent with his rollout. For Views he announced the album 2 years in advance, dropped IYRTITL and WATTBA first, and then just did an album trailer and an interview with Zane Lowe the night of release

To me his best rollout was IYRTITL cause it was just a video and the “mixtape” dropped that night.

idrk when this started but rollout and era for tc, nwts, iyrtitl, views & scorpion still felt energized… also kinda f***ed w the livestreams leading to dldt man but even that was low effort

clb pissed me off bad w the delay and the super bad "release date reveal stunt", didnt do anything to make it feel like the moment that it actually was, just one f***ing MV for one of the lamest songs on the album… kms

then he randomly decided to try again and dropped three (four w jimmy cooks) mvs for HNVM which kinda had me hopeful but surprise drop didnt really need that much effort either

after that he tried super hard for like one second w her loss by faking promo material illegally which led to those ideas never getting the chance to breath anyways

and bruh with FATD he truly hit lazy peak - SCAN THE F***ING DOGS DAILY!!!! dude didnt even give a f*** when it came to chosing singles and organizing the tracklist man he just s*** all over that era i wont even get further into it, deluxe kinda elevated it a lil but it’s whatever at this point

$$$4U basically nothing burger again i cant even remember a single thing he did for that project besides nokia mv

for ICEMAN he gave us hope for him to finally get back on trying hard for an era, making the fans truly feel like theyre part of something and creating an atmosphere by doing those three live episodes and he just leaves us hanging once again

whatever man i had to get this off of my chest, the music is so good but he does nothing to tie the listeners in and therefore i finally understand why so many hiphopheads don’t give a s*** abt his gambling ass anymore - there’s more effort flowing into the stake partnership than into creating an experience for his long term fans
