He always dabbled in both. IYRTITL and Her Loss were the closest he got to doing full rap albums but that's never been his style.
Maybe the pre-Young Money Drake but definitely not the Drake who blew up.
It is what it is. I think Drake just needs to home in on a full concept album with a theme he actually sticks to instead of using as an album cover aesthetic via CLB and FATD.

The industry used Drake to cover the budgets of less successful artists ironically. They took bets on artists who couldn’t make money back like Drake could. All of the “art” took place from artists during drakes rise while Drake kept the lights on. It’s a cold game.
But.
Well it happened and now Drake has to deal with the fall out and he’s failing to meet the moment.
