Nobody outside of Drake’s immediate fanbase thinks that CLB or Her Loss is a classic, we can be honest with ourselves

I swear this fan base started the ā€œI love it so it’s classicā€ rhetoric

Tons of albums I love aren’t classics

More people outside of his fan base believe that Her Loss is a classic than more people outside of The Weeknd’s fan base believe After Hours is a classic

    This is objectively not true

LMAOOOP GAMBINO OR TYLER… maybe 3 years ago when Tyler dropped quality music we cared or gambino when he was dropping good music a decade ago

I’m true gen z (under 25). People my age respect gambino, Tyler, Kendrick, and Kanye more than Drake. Drake tries too hard to fit in with Gen z and it’s not working

You said Kendrick’s 2024 does not happen without Her Loss dumbass

He still would’ve dissed him in 2024 with or without Metro’s involvement and it would’ve played out the exact same way

Her loss is the catalyst to it all. You can try and rewrite history all you want. We all saw the butterfly affect from the album in real time

I really hope you’re just some young discord guy like 21-22, because if you’re older than that gassing up and shaming people for not listening to nine victims then lol man

u keep cherry picking Nine bc he’s a awful person but that doesn’t change his music quality. Fakemink, Diorvsyou, Nosaint, Pz, and Diamond are consistently pumping out great music

this is the only valid argument. his flaw has always been been bloated albums. when u are massive in two genres its hard to stay condensed and feed both fanbases

And that’s his fault, rap is an album centric genre, you can’t be mad at rap fans who don’t rank him that high

Drake does not have a 2020s classic man

Dark Lane Demo Tapes - nobody even remembers that project exists

CLB - popular yes, but not received well

Honestly, Nevermind - widely regarded as one of the worst albums of the decade (I don’t agree)

Her Loss - commercially successful & received well, but that’s about it, there’s nothing really extraordinary about it

FATD - performed okay commercially and was received poorly, plus it aged badly after the beef

$$$4U - similar to DLDT, nobody outside of Drake fans remembers this album exists outside of NOKIA

I think one of the hostilites comes from if you want a nice more concise album and a bit of quality control then you are persona non grata who doesn't understand Drake so discussion about the quality becomes pointless

    After Hours had:

    • better reception
    • more commercial success
    • bigger songs
    • & was a more iconic era in general, a lot of people heavily associate it with the Covid lockdown time

There is literally no argument for Her Loss being considered a classic by more people other than ā€œI like the album betterā€

16? brother 20 year olds are not consistently bumping Gambino music (at least s*** made past 2016)

those artists are good but they aren’t a reflection of the youth taste. that’s why im clowning bc the dude you claim to be putting you on is listening artists from the Blog era

Yeah bro the superstar era is dying, we know that, that’s why Drake isn’t the younger generations GOAT
