At first I thought it was because he wanted his music to be heard in the colder months. But he's from Atlanta, I doubt it gets that cold there. It may be more similar to the Fall weather we get in the Midwest and East Coast.

Where I'm going with this, is that spring and fall releases are Drake's bread and butter, and I would not mind waiting for spring during that first week it's 50-60 out.

You’re right, it wasn’t officially confirmed, but there was an Atlantic Records press release that said it was dropping the 23rd that was quickly taken down, and there was also a line in the Travis Scott Rolling Stone article that said Don was dropping on the 23rd, but that line was quickly edited out of the article shorty after it was published

So it does seem like the 23rd was the original plan and then it was pushed for whatever reason
