It was supposed to be like the 4/4 tapes Meek made. It was a clever way of getting back into people's good graces by releasing all the footage.

Unfortunately with the way videos are clipped it was invariably going to lead to him getting clowned.

And the music wasn't his best either. That first one was especially mid.

I bet Drake didn't even release 5% of all the career footage he has with 100 Gigs.

And that wasn't done to get into the good graces of anyone. He did that as a f*** you and to prove a point to UMG. Those songs were never meant to go up on DSPs. UMG forcefully put them up on DSPs, that's why their release was so f***ed and Drake didn't promote them. It was a callback to Drake giving fans music for free without label interference, similar to what he did from like 2010-2016, the bulk of songs which he had previously released for free but then ended up compiling and releasing as Care Package.

And those songs didn't need to be his best, they were still great songs for what they were. Some of those 100 Gigs songs are legit stronger than some songs on $$$4U lol.
