The funniest part is when they speed run through the bullshit questions so they can bring up Drake in all these interviews. They don’t even pretend to be interested in the new music. They just want the clicks.
Zero interest in the artist or their music. Sometimes, they even get their Drake questions off before they've properly inquired about the artist they're interviewing. I know s*** like this, in addition to Drake's unending dominance, is enough to make most people hate him.
The idea of using Drake's name for press/promo during an album rollout is very short-sighted, if only because it doesn't necessarily bring more eyes to your album but it centers Drake as the topic of discussion. Yes, people might discuss you as well in relation to Drake for that particular week, but unless you actually dropped an album that's dope and sticks with people, it's all for nothing.
The difference between Drake and other rappers is that he rarely does sit-down interviews because he doesn't need them to promote his albums/get his music to move and he mostly keeps all his shots about other people to the music. I don't think people have an issue with rappers responding to Drake's shots on their songs but doing 5+ interviews and answering the same questions about Drake would make even the biggest Drake hater feel like you're talking too much about him.
There's also the part where the entire music industrial complex knows that Drake's name — more than any other rapper's name — generates engagement. That's also one of the reasons why lazy media folk bring him up whenever they can.
What’s that? FACTS!!!

you pride yourself on not paying attention to any other artist except drake, of course you think every other artist’s album release is centered on drake if you purposefully tune out everything else about it
