i don't necessarily have to find it relatable to exact aspects in my life but i like and respect drake the most when he is being deeply personal and philosophical in his music--whether it's about navigating love or finding success in life as a man (both relatable af to me)

that's why fatd has grown to be my most favorite work of him because i think it's his most raw and personal piece of work to date

nwts & iyrtitl are great but they are more of "rapper" drake making it in the industry than the person drake. clb is that rapper who has achieved everything there is to achieve and is finding it's very lonely at the top in a sad way

so i don't agree with your take that he is detached to any version of himself. he has simply grown as a person and his works reflect where he is at that particular moment
