I'm personally not a huge fan of when any rapper does this, it's not exclusive to just Drake.
For example, It was dumb in 2016 when Travis, spent most of the spring & summer saying at every show, " Birds in the trap coming faster than you motherfuckers can take a s***" " Birds momentarily" " Birds on the way", then did the same thing for Astro 2 years later. This is dumb too. I wish folks would just work on their albums quietly, put out the release date, then drop said album on said release date and let the music speak for itself.

Even went through a torn ACL and COVID which affected the album for CLB.
This sxn is battle tested to the word “soon”
