As others have pointed out, it’s very clear that he doesn’t have the confidence to drop. The reception of some of the recent releases, combined with the anticipation seems to be a perfect storm. Didn’t this man say Iceman 2025?

We haven't had a solo LP from him since 2023 but the public is still clamoring for anything they can get from him in the mean time. He's had the ball for 16 summers and this year will be no different

Kanye is one of 9 rappers to pass 1 billion streams already in 2026, and yet Bully is gonna go quadruple cardboard when it comes out next week.
Not saying the same is gonna happen to Drake, but him having a large amount of streams in 2026 doesn't necessarily mean that the public is clamoring for new music, it just means his back catalog is strong
