Mostly gases like nitrogen, CO₂, methane
Very low heat energySo yeah, they’re warmer than the ice… but the total heat output is tiny.
Let’s put numbers on it (roughly)
A single fart = maybe a few joules of heat
One ice block (~20–40 lbs) needs ~100,000+ joules to fully melt
500 blocks = tens of millions of joules👉 You’d need millions of farts just to make a noticeable dent

Let’s say:
