I have a similar feeling him going independent just doesn't make sense for how often he drops music. Just think of the logistics behind a tour. He's going to have to hire people to do all that. I assume clearing samples is probably another thing that is more difficult to do when you're independent.

I understand labels are a machine and want money but they are still a machine. Having the backing of a label makes Drake's job way easier so he can just focus on the music and doesn't have to deal with all the other BS.

the finsta being a shared account is just my speculation (0 insight into his camp). i can see him and others using it to share stuff to it - aside from the BTS content, it's also looking at a moodboard which can always involve multiple people

as for twitter: i think he was just tired of the media at that point which i cannot blame him for. it was bad then and it has gotten significantly worse since then
